Late Mr. Sitaram Shah (Founder & Chairman Emeritus) He founded Veena Diecasters and Engineers Pvt. Ltd. In 1977-78. He was a Bachelor of Engineer (Electrical Engineering) from IIT-BHU and a Master of Engineering (High Voltage), from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He then went on to do Research at Metropolitan Vickers, Associated Electrical Industries (Later GEC) in Manchester, UK. (2 Years). Then Mr. Shah worked for the French Railways, SNCF, in Besancon, France (1 year).
He Came back to India, in 1962 and worked in an Electrical Engineering Company called “ECE”. ECE made Elevators with a Schindler Collaboration and also did Railway Turnkey Contracts. Mr. Shah rose to become Head of the Contracts Division of this company in Mumbai. He left the company after 16 years of service to start Veena and Sipra in 1977-78. He was a keen Yoga Practioner, active Rotarian and Senior CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) Member.
Mr. Vandan Shah
Mr. Vandan is the son of Mr. Sitaram Shah. Vandan Shah (59 years) is a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from R.V.College of Engineering, Bangalore in 1985. He then went to work for LML-Piaggio Scooter JV in India in 1985. He was sent to Piaggio, Italy for diecasting training by LML.
Vandan returned and then joined Sipra plants in Nashik, in 1986, as Deputy General Manager. He was promoted as General Manager in 5 years and then Managing Director in another 3 years. Vandan Shah is based in Mumbai, the Corporate Office of Sipra since 2007. He was a member of Western Regional Council and National Council of CII, since last ten years. He was the Chairman Nasik Zonal Council of CII. Vandan is a global traveller and has been instrumental in Export of Sipra going upto 20% now.
Mr. M. M. Umadi (Executive Director)
Mr. M. M. Umadi (55 years) is a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Business Administration. Mr. M. M. Umadi worked in Diecasting for 17 years before joining Sipra in 2004. His strengths are in Dies, Production and Machining. He is leading team of 300 people of Sipra in Nasik & Sinnar.
Mr. M. M. Umadi joined as General Manager, then became the Vice President and is now the Executive Director at Sipra. He is an honorary Yoga teacher and is interested in reading Indian mythology and likes travelling to customers.
Ms. Ekta Shah (Director)
Ms. Ekta Shah (47 years) is a Fashion Designer. She is a Graduate from Wigan & Leigh, UK .
She is also an MBA in Human Resources from Institute of Management Studies, Indore.
Ekta Shah is active in Social Work. Her work has been recognised in the communities she works in and she has been awarded many times for the Social Work.
She supports Human Resources in Sipra.
